Long-term strategy planning
We have worked with leadership teams to define the organization’s long-term strategic direction, identifying attractive markets, growth opportunities, portfolio priorities and competitive positioning. The process translated strategic ambition into clear choices, investment priorities, performance aspirations and an actionable multi-year roadmap.
Annual strategy plans & translation into AOPs
We have converted strategic priorities into executable Annual Operating Plans by defining initiatives, financial targets, operating KPIs, resource requirements and management accountabilities. This created a direct link between long-term strategic objectives, annual budgets and the actions expected from individual businesses and functions.
Integrated corporate planning across multiple businesses
For diversified organizations, we have helped establish integrated planning frameworks that connect individual business-unit plans with group-level objectives. We have helped management evaluate portfolio trade-offs, capital allocation, interdependencies, synergies and consolidated performance to create one coherent enterprise-wide plan.

A successful plant shutdown is not one where the factory simply stops producing on schedule. It is one where customers continue receiving product, employees and statutory obligations are properly managed, suppliers are exited or transferred cleanly, assets retain their economic value, inventory is monetized rather than written off, environmental liabilities are controlled.
Capsmart AI works across the following seven areas to execute shutdowns:-
We map every supplier by dependency, contractual commitment, remaining purchase orders, minimum-order quantities and transfer requirements.
We track every machine with a disposition code that helps to transfer, sell, scrap, mothball or retain the asset. We work with book value, replacement value and—most importantly—productive value. We also work to ensure production assets that are not at the site (typically supplier tooling etc) is appropriately addressed.
We work with all production asset categories including more difficult categories like furnances, assembly lines, treatment centres, Boilers, Compressors, Substations, tanks, cranes, machining centres and safety systems to scrap, value-and-sell, value-and-repurpose or shift the assets.
We work with your HR teams and external agents like labour law specialists, placement firms and collective-action-situation-resolution professionals to ensure appropriate workforce plans encompassing notice periods, severance/retrenchment costs, accrued leave, benefits, pensions, collective agreements, statutory obligations and retention incentives. We also help plan and execute actual severance events whilst ensuring compliance, compassion and convenience.
We work to ensure that WIP is progressively driven toward zero and Finished goods stock does not become the buffer between shutdown and production restart elsewhere. We do this in a manner that ensures IP protection as well as a full digital record of the disposal /scrapping /sale /auction process to ensure subsequent process probility.
Working with your teams and external specialists, we ensure that shutdown economics delivers efficient severance, asset impairment, lease termination, supplier claims, inventory write-offs, transfer capex, logistics, remediation and tax impacts—offset against asset-sale proceeds and working-capital release. We also work with you to address regulatory exposure arising from ESG compliance, Government subsidies and incentives and customer liability.
We help you plan and quantify all consumer liability that stems from potential consumer action. Some of the activities that we help you plan and structure are long term product support arrangements as well as arriving at a mathematical framework to boundary and delineate risk arising from consumer liability.

We assess the current technology landscape and define a 3–5 year roadmap across automation, digital manufacturing, AI, data and emerging technologies, linked directly to business priorities and investment outcomes.

We Identify and prioritize AI opportunities across engineering, production, quality, maintenance, supply chain and commercial functions to build the business case, operating model and adoption roadmap.

We rank technologies on value potential, feasibility, data readiness, implementation complexity and time-to-impact—helping management focus investment on the opportunities that matter.

We define the blueprint for connected and intelligent factories across IoT, MES, automation, advanced analytics, digital work instructions and AI. We also help determine the appropriate technology architectur, maturity ambition and identify suppliers for each piece of technology.

We identify application space for robotics, cobots, machine vision and intelligent automation to improve productivity, quality, safety or flexibility.

We develop the strategic case for predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and AI-enabled asset management by identifying critical asset classes and quantifying potential improvements in uptime, maintenance costs and asset productivity.
